In Uzbekistan, citizens have been allowed to purchase cash foreign currency at banks in amounts of up to $500 without presenting a passport, ID card, or other identity documents. The relevant document was registered by the Ministry of Justice.

It is specified that the requirement to present identity documents will apply when purchasing currency above the установленного порога. Currently, without documents it is possible to purchase cash foreign currency only within $100.

The new procedure will take effect in three months.
