Centrum Air explained the reasons for the significant delay of flight C6511D/C6512D on the Tashkent — Guangzhou — Tashkent route on May 16.

During the previous flight, the aircraft was struck by lightning. In accordance with safety requirements, the aircraft was promptly taken out of service for technical inspection, diagnostics, and the necessary repair work. Following the inspection, the airline decided to replace the aircraft operating this route.

While waiting, passengers were provided accommodation in a hotel with three meals a day. Centrum Air emphasized that the safety of passengers and crew remains the top priority and apologized for the inconvenience caused.
