President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed not to classify as advertising information about the name of a business entity and its type of activity placed on a building, as well as to abandon the practice of issuing “passports” for such signs. This was reported following the head of state’s ознакомление with a presentation посвящённой enhancing the устойчивость of enterprises and addressing issues of concern to entrepreneurs.
During the discussion, factors were raised that, according to estimates, ухудшают the business environment and cause dissatisfaction among the public and business representatives. Among them is the current procedure for размещения signs and branded symbols: in a number of cases, signs containing the company name, type of activity, or trademark are equated with advertising. This, in turn, requires preparing a separate set of documents and making the соответствующие payments.
It was noted that such a practice creates an additional administrative burden for entrepreneurs and affects the recognizability of retail and service outlets, customer inflow, and revenue. In this regard, it was proposed to review the approach to classifying such informational signs.
It was also proposed to introduce design requirements for the placement of advertising and other informational structures gradually—taking into account entrepreneurs’ opinions. In addition, it is proposed to simplify the procedure for placing one’s own trademarks on vehicles owned by legal entities.
