As of May 8, 49 drivers have been registered in Uzbekistan whose total penalty points have reached the maximum of 12. Just a week ago, there was only 1 such violator.

The largest number of such cases was recorded in Tashkent — 29 drivers. Next come Fergana Region (8 cases) and Bukhara Region (3 cases). Two cases were registered in Tashkent Region and Andijan Region, and one each in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Samarkand, Namangan, Surkhandarya, and Khorezm regions. At the same time, in Navoi, Kashkadarya, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya regions, not a single driver with 12 penalty points has been identified so far.

According to SBDD press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zoir Yuldashev, all 49 cases have already been sent to court.

“Drivers who have been deprived of their licenses must not only pass an exam, but also complete training at driving schools. At the same time, during the theory exam they must answer correctly not 18 out of 20 questions, as before, but 46 out of 50 questions,” Zoir Yuldashev noted.

According to Article 34-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, drivers whose penalty points reach 12 within a year are deprived of the right to drive vehicles for at least 6 months.
