Uzbekistan declared former head of a department at the Migration Agency Azizbek Toshtemirov internationally wanted: his name has appeared in the list of Interpol Red Notices. The public portion of the notice states that he is charged with fraud.

Toshtemirov was born on May 15, 1990, in the Andijan region. It is known that he previously worked at the Agency for External Labor Migration and headed its representative office for the Republic of Korea, and in March 2025 he was dismissed “for various violations”.

Earlier, it was reported that a corruption scheme involving the illegal sending of citizens to work in South Korea was uncovered, in which scammers obtained about $90 million. Whether this case is connected to Toshtemirov is not officially specified.
