On May 7, the Yashnabad District Criminal Court of Tashkent terminated the administrative proceedings against financier and blogger Otabek Bakirov. The case was initiated following a complaint by Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov. The court explained that the time limit for bringing administrative liability under the article on dissemination of false information had expired. The decision was made with regard to Article 36 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility and on the basis of Clause 7 of Article 271 — due to the expiration of the установленного срока.

The complaint by the head of the Ministry of Energy concerned Bakirov’s publications about the situation with gas supplies at methane filling stations, queues, and the operation of the Avto24 application, which was also positioned as a service providing data on gas availability at CNG stations.
