Officers of the Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs prevented an attempted contract killing: a man born in 1985, according to investigators, hired a perpetrator to eliminate his common-law wife. For the “job,” he promised $10,000, handing over $2,000 as an advance payment, and intended to pay the remaining amount after the order was carried out.

It is уточняется, when asked about the method, the suspect replied: “to strangle.” Law enforcement intervened — they persuaded the alleged perpetrator and the woman to cooperate and staged the crime. During the transfer of the remaining $8,000 and a Tracker car belonging to the second woman, both the заказчик and the perpetrator were detained.

The investigation indicates that the man had two women. He stated that he supported the second, but, according to him, it “was never enough” for her. Six months ago, as noted, the first wife found out about the relationship and threatened to jump from the fourth floor together with the children if he did not end the affair. After that, having found no other solution, the man, according to investigators, decided to order the killing.

A criminal case has been opened against the заказчик and the perpetrator under Article 97 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (intentional murder). Both have been placed in pre-trial detention, and the investigation is ongoing.
