A charter flight from the United States carrying deported citizens of Uzbekistan arrived in Tashkent on May 1 and landed at the capital’s international airport, reports the Dunyo news agency. On board were 26 Uzbeks deported for violating U.S. immigration laws.
As noted in the report, the return was the result of coordinated cooperation between the competent authorities of Uzbekistan and the United States. “Within the framework of bilateral cooperation, all organizational and legal procedures were promptly agreed, including the identification of citizens, оформление документов and ensuring safe transportation,” the report says.
