In the city of Shirin in the Syrdarya region, a man's partner, who was in a religious marriage with him, attacked his lawful супругу and her two daughters with a knife, reports Kun.uz

According to the outlet, N.Kh. broke into M.S.'s home and inflicted knife wounds on the woman and the girls aged five and three, after which she fled. M.S. and her five-year-old daughter died at the scene; the three-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The niece of the deceased said the woman was doing laundry at home when she was attacked, and the daughters ran out after hearing her scream and were also stabbed.

The victim's father said his daughter was from Bekabad (Tashkent region), and her husband lived in Syrdarya. M.S. is survived by four children — an eight-year-old son and a 20-day-old infant, as well as two other children. According to the man, he asks that the remaining children be placed under the guardianship of relatives.

The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported that a criminal case has been opened over the incident under пункты “a, v, zh” of Part 2 of Article 97 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code. The suspect has been detained.
