In Uzbekistan, May 2026 will be one of the most packed months in terms of rest days: in addition to the holiday dates of May 9 and Eid al-Adha, the calendar provides for additional days off.
According to the president’s decree of December 24, 2025 No. UP-257 “On establishing additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and rescheduling days off in 2026,” the following non-working days are established:

Day of Remembrance and Honors
- May 9 (Saturday) — Day of Remembrance and Honors;
- May 10 (Sunday) — day off;
- May 11 (Monday) — rescheduled day off for employees with a five-day workweek.
Eid al-Adha
Eid al-Adha in 2026, according to preliminary calculations, falls on May 27 (Wednesday). The final date of the holiday will be announced by the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan on the eve of the event. The decree establishes additional days off:
- May 28 (Thursday) — additional day off;
- May 29 (Friday) — additional day off;
- May 30 (Saturday) — day off for employees with a six-day workweek;
- May 31 (Sunday) — day off.
In addition, May 8 (Friday) and May 26 (Tuesday) have been declared shortened workdays.
