In Surkhandarya Region, a criminal case has been opened over the death of a resident of the city of Denau. As the regional Department of Internal Affairs reported, the incident occurred on April 27 at around 17:50 near a car wash in the Bogishamol mahalla of the city of Denov. 

According to law enforcement, A.U. (born 1970) and his son A.A. (born 1994) were attacked by a nephew, K.Sh. (born 1989), and three of his accomplices. It is уточняется, that the conflict arose over a monetary dispute. After the beating, the young man was forcibly put into a Gentra car and taken away from the scene.

The victim was hospitalized at the Denau District Medical Association. However, he died the next day from his injuries. A criminal case has been opened under points “k” and “e” of part 2 of article 104 (“Intentional grievous bodily harm, committed out of hooligan motives, by a group of persons”) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. All four suspects have been detained and, in accordance with procedural rules, placed in custody.

According to the source of Kun.uz, the crime may have been carried out by a local resident nicknamed “Shakki”.
