The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan published for public discussion a draft order “On recognizing as invalid the procedure for the phased implementation of the ‘Electronic Prescription’ system.”
According to the draft, it is proposed to deem invalid пункт 1 of the order of the Minister of Health dated December 15, 2025, as well as the procedure for the phased implementation of the ‘Electronic Prescription’ system approved by that order. Discussion of the initiative will continue until May 10.
The ‘Electronic Prescription’ system has been introduced since December 10, 2025 in Tashkent and in 15 other cities and districts of the country. It was planned that by the end of 2026 all medical institutions and pharmacies would be connected to it, and the full transition to the new model was to begin in January 2027.
UPD. The Ministry of Health refuted the information, stating that the ‘Electronic Prescription’ system is not being canceled, but expanded as part of the full transition.
