The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan reported that the “E-Prescription” system is not being canceled, but will be expanded. The agency explained that the draft order published for public discussion was misinterpreted on social media following reports about a possible отмене mechanism. As уточнили in the Ministry of Health press service, the previously действующий order of the Ministry of Health No. 25 dated December 15, 2025 закрепил the phased formation of a list of medicines dispensed through “E-Prescription.” At the first stage, mandatory issuance of an e-prescription applied to systemic antibiotics, synthetic antibacterial drugs, and hormonal medicines.

“The draft of the new order provides for a full transition to the e-prescription system for all prescription medicinal products (except for certain categories of potent substances, medicines containing narcotic and psychotropic substances, as well as processes related to the reimbursement program) in all medical organizations and pharmacies of the city of Tashkent, as well as 15 districts (cities) where the pilot project is being implemented,” the agency emphasized.
