The powers of the patrol and post service have been expanded: it can now draw up reports for crossing the road in an unauthorized place, crossing on a red traffic light, and other violations.

Uzbekistan to hold “car-free day” twice a month

Starting May 1, 2026, Uzbekistan will introduce ongoing “car-free day” and “car-free week” campaigns—on the 10th and 25th of each month. On these days, a ban is introduced for state civil servants on the use of official vehicles.
