iPhone users are reporting widespread issues with push notifications in the official Telegram app: pop-up banners do not appear, sound and alerts may fail to trigger, and new messages sometimes become visible only after manually launching the messenger.

Complaints were posted in a bug report in Telegram’s public repository. The author notes that the issue reproduces on several devices and occurs on both Wi‑Fi and cellular networks. According to them, notifications do not arrive in either private chats or groups.

Discussion participants point out a detail: third-party Telegram clients (in particular, Nicegram, iMe, Swiftgram, Turrit) on the same devices and with the same system settings receive notifications correctly. This may indicate a malfunction specifically in the official app—for example, in push-notification handling or background processes.
