On the eve of the Day of Remembrance and Honors, on May 8, the head of state will visit Victory Park in Tashkent and lay flowers at the "Ode to Fortitude" monument, as well as at the Alley of National Heroes.
In addition, on May 8 the president visited World War II participants and home-front labor veterans, congratulating them on the holiday. At the Central Military Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense, he spoke with Akmal ota Akramov, Vera Zhuravskaya, Hasanboy ota Khalmatov, and Vladimir Aleyskeykov, asked about their well-being, noting their life journey and the courage they had shown.
It is noted that, in accordance with the head of state's decree of April 16, special attention and support are being provided to war participants and home-front labor veterans, including preferential vouchers to sanatoriums to improve their health.
Earlier, the Kremlin published a list of heads of foreign delegations that will arrive in Moscow. The presidents of Central Asian countries were not listed. However, it later became known that the President of Uzbekistan will take part in the parade dedicated to May 9 in Moscow.
