The Tax Committee held a meeting with bloggers. The analysis showed that the combined income of six top bloggers with an audience of more than 3 million followers in 2025 amounted to 2.7 billion soums, while the amount of taxes paid was 110.4 million soums. The data are based on official reporting submitted via electronic invoices.

As part of the review of the sector, a list of 110 most active bloggers was compiled. The inspection showed that 55 of them are registered as self-employed, 33 as individual entrepreneurs, and another 22 operate as private individuals. The agency noted that this structure indicates a mismatch between actual activity and the chosen legal status.

Separately, the metrics of six top bloggers were examined: in 2025 they posted 360 stories (on average about 5 stories per month) and 184 advertising posts. At the meeting, representatives of the blogging community were briefed on legislation governing the taxation of advertising income and it was emphasized that self-employed status does not grant the right to hire employees, although in practice a number of bloggers engage administrators, assistants, and other specialists.

Meeting participants received answers to their questions, and a proposal was voiced to conduct training events to clarify tax obligations and improve legal literacy. The Tax Committee emphasized the need to bring bloggers’ activities into compliance with tax legislation and to ensure income transparency.
